Donald V. Coers Collection
Eleanor Smith Garrett Collection
This collection is composed of materials belonging to Eleanor Smith Garrett during her time at Sam Houston State Teachers College, including SHSTC A Cappella Choir concert programs, a graduation letter from President Harmon Lowman, and the SHSTC Bulletin 75th anniversary edition.
Farrington Collection
This collection is composed of one box consisting of correspondence and financial materials, including receipts, checks, balance sheets, bank statements, and statements of administration of properties.
Materials vary from poor to fair conditions and are very brittle.
George J. Beto Papers
The collection consists of materials, such as papers, publications, and photographs, owned or related to Dr. George J. Beto throughout his life and long career in criminal justice. The collection was compiled and donated to the SHSU Special Collections by George Beto's son, Dan Beto.
Holm Newspaper and Periodical Collection
This collection contains materials donated by Cathy Holm. Materials include newspapers and periodicals covering the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, as well as local newspapers from the 1990s.
Huntsville Walker County Photographs Collection
Many photographs within the collection have been acquired by former Special Collections Librarians. Some can be found in the Times & Places Collection at the following link: http://walkercountytreasures.com/thumbnails.php?album=10 Other photographs within the collection have been collected from individual donors and the Walker County Historical Commission.
James Gilliam Gee Collection
This collection is mainly composed of James Gilliam Gee's biographical materials along with his wife, Cecile Gibbs Gee's guest book.
Mark Beto ROTC Collection
This collection contains materials regarding Mark Beto as other military leaders. These materials include admission packets for the ROTC Hall of Fame, as well as SHSU Raven Battalion materials.
